What happening?
Battle of Ohio. Even though the Pittsburgh Steelers have supplanted the Cleveland Browns as the Bengals' No. 1 rival, it's still the Battle of Ohio, and the Bengals must protect their turf. Cincinnati prides itself on leading the series, 37-35, and it wants to stretch that advantage to a three-game bulge. It's a sellout with state bragging rights on the line, and that's enough to make it important.
Quinn's progress. Browns QB Brady Quinn's four TD passes at Detroit last week represented his coming-out party, and he enters Cincinnati oozing confidence. The same goes for Browns rookie WR Mohamed Massaquoi, who had his first career TD reception on a 59-yard catch in the first quarter against the Lions. The Browns will pull out all stops because they have nothing to lose except another game. The Bengals should expect the unexpected.
Controlling destiny. A Bengals victory will mark a perfect record (6-0) in the AFC North and allow Cincinnati to move one step closer to a division title and only its second playoff berth in 19 seasons. Winning consistently is a process and the Bengals are beginning to feel the pressure. They're in the hunt for the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoffs, and they desperately want a first-round bye and home game in the divisional playoffs.
