Matching the skylight to your home
A great way to upgrade your home is to add a skylight but often there are many options to choose from that will complement your home. Below are the typical skylight options to choose from.
Impact Approved Skylight
This skylight has undergone extensive testing for impact resistance, wind loading, air and water penetration and are rated for 85 psf negative and 75 psf positive design load wind pressures. They can be used for commercial and residential use and come in a variety of styles. The first is a Pyramid Skylight, next is the Ridge Skylight, then the Hip Ridge Skylight, the Segmented Barrel Vault Skylight, the Polygonal Skylight, and the Sloped Glazed Skylight.
Impact Approved Unit Skylight
This skylight is very similar to the Impact Approved Skylight but is meant for residential units. This skylight also comes in a variety of styles from the Self Flashing Domed Skylight to the Curb Mounted Domed Skylight, the GSHR Curb Mounted Glass Skylight, and the EFHR Self Flashing Glass Skylight.
Plastic Glazed Skylight
This skylight is meant for commercial use and comes in a variety of styles: the Cluster System Skylight, the Gutter System Skylight, the Low Profile Barrel Vaults Skylight, the Half Round Barrel Vaults Skylight, and the Quarter Barrel Vaults Skylight.
Glass Unit Skylight
This skylight is meant for residential use and comes in a variety of styles: the E-Class™ The ‘More Sky’ SkyWindows®, the E-Class™ Model EVM Motorized Skylight, the G-Series SkyWindows®, the Self Flashing Flat Glass Skylight, and the Curb Mounted Glass Skylight
