Swansea’s favourite Christmas attraction, Waterfront Winterland opened to records crowds on November 15 following a 2 week-long set up in the city. The event saw visitors streaming in before and after the Christmas Parade and Light Switch On.
With a brand new children’s ice rink and a new ride, Swansea Council has gone all out to improve the visitor experience at Waterfront Winterland. Favourites have returned with real iceskating, Santa’s Grotto , the 44m high Admiral Giant Wheel is back and lighting up the sweep of Swansea Bay, a festive funfair and a variety of food stalls to warm visitors up.
Frances Jenkins, Strategic Manager for Tourism, Marketing and Events said, ” Waterfront Winterland is better than ever with the installation of Rocky’s Rink for children and a new undercover seating area as well as a new ride. We are advising visitors to book ice skating tickets in advance to ensure that they can skate in the session of their choice.”
