Graphic designers do their bit for Children in Need

Nov. 26, 2009 - PRLog -- In support of the 2009 Children in Need campaign the team at The Design Business donated their time and design expertise to help one local client’s fund-raising activities.

Chesterford Research Park, a long-term client of The Design Business, organised a fun-packed day of festivities at the Park with the aim of raising as much as possible for this year’s campaign.  In support of this effort The Design Business designed a large display banner with a pirate theme which became the centre piece of the Park’s ‘Pirates of Chesterford Park’ display situated in the central Nucleus facilities within the Park grounds.  

In collaboration with their materials and production supplier, Rickwood Display, The Design Business was able to donate the fully designed and produced banner to the Park free of charge.

Design Business Director Sam Maskell commented: “We were delighted to help Chesterford Research Park with this piece of design work, which was great fun to produce!  As a relatively small team it’s fantastic to be able to make a difference to a larger scale fund-raising effort in this way and is something we hope to be able to continue to do in years to come”.

This is the second time The Design Business has been able to donate design expertise to the Park in 2009 – producing signage for their Comic Relief fund-raising efforts earlier in the year.  

Continuing their charitable support of local causes in November, The Design Business also sponsored a table at the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust Ball, all profits of which went towards the Dolphin appeal and the purchase of a sonosite which will be in daily use in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at the hospital.
