Stacey Scott, CEO of Elgia, Inc., has been selected to participate in Cisco’s Executive Mentor Protégé Program (EMP2). The EMP2 is designed to place small business owners under the mentorship of a Cisco Executive for a period of either one or two years.
In its second year of existence, the EMP2 has so far proven to be very successful for all parties involved. Protégés have benefited from being educated by their mentors, and Cisco executives have, in turn, enjoyed learning from and collaborating with their protégés.
“I am very eager and thrilled for this great opportunity with Cisco,” says Stacey. “The Executive Mentor Protégé Program will be a great opportunity for the Elgia team to learn and grow under the mentorship of such a well-respected and successful company. I am looking forward to collaborating with the Cisco team, and I know it will be a great year!”
Although the program does not guarantee business for the protégés, the ultimate goal of the EMP2 is for both parties to benefit from each other. While mentors will receive advice, training, education, and other business development guidance from Cisco’s vast array of resources, Cisco will benefit from ideas brought into the program by the protégés that are coming from a very diverse and well-rounded set of industries.
