Nov. 25, 2009 - PRLog -- That's right.  Following in the footsteps of British Gas and Scottish Power recently,  EDF is now bribing customers with cash back to lure them in to signing up for the new version of their Online Saver tariff - well not quite.

EDF Energy, who probably likes to push its greener credentials more than the other Big 6, is offering a £30 voucher to new takers of its Online Saver Version 4 tariff but there is a wee catch.

The voucher can only be spent in its online Eco store, which sells a variety of gadgets including Eco Kettles, dryer-balls and other energy saving goods.  Not such a bad thing you might think.

However, if you decide to switch away from the tariff within 12 months then EDF Energy have the right to ask for the voucher back and on top of that there will be cancellation charges of £25 per fuel.

Details of the tariff itself - well you might be pleased to learn that it is one of the cheapest online tariffs available.  The prices are variable but EDF guarantee that they will be at least 2% cheaper than it's own Standard tariff prices until December 2010.

Customer's applying online must submit to paying by direct debit and the offer is available for a limited time only.
