Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) has released its portable multi-functional ADSL tester intended for the installation, maintenance and measurement of ADSL/ADSL 2+ applications. This powerful test unit provides test functions including upstream or downstream rate measurement, error count, DMM, MODEM simulation, and ping and trace testing. Its handheld design, simple operation and powerful functionality make the tester an invaluable tool for ADSL/ADSL 2+ technicians.
This ADSL tester, model 2045, offers a high resolution backlit LCD screen and displays ADSL line connections on a real-time basis. It determines the type of an ADSL line being tested, automatically matches ADSL line standards and implements tests accordingly. Measurement is carried out immediately with a simple push on the “Auto Test” key; test results can be uploaded, saved and printed through Test Manager Pro Software included. It supports a maximum transmission distance of 6.5km. The embedded software of the ADSL tester is upgradable via an integrated RS-232 interface.
