Horror Novel To Be Released as PC Game

Australian born writer, C.A. Milson seems to be making waves in the writing world! With his first novel already being adapted into an Audiobook and Graphic Novel, now comes Rise Of The Darkness – the official game for PC!

PRLog - Nov. 25, 2009 - Making waves is what C.A. Milson is known for, at least in the cyber world. First was the book, Rise Of The Darkness, then along came the Audiobook, and then the Graphic Novel Series.

Now, his characters take on a new adventure, into the world of Gaming.

C.A. Milson recently signed off on the game development with Crazy Scorpion, a California-based company. Amanda Dearheart of Crazy Scorpion, who is the brains behind the development of the upcoming game.

On signing the deal with Crazy Scorpion, C.A. Milson is quoted to say, “I am very excited about how things have turned out with this book. There have been a lot of people who are anticipating this being released as a game. I have got to meet some very talented artists and developers so I am looking forward to seeing how this game turns out.”

The game will be based on The Chosen Series; Rise Of The Darkness – Book One. Amanda Dearheart envisions that the game will have between 16 to 20 missions, and the player can choose the role of different characters from the book, and each character will have missions within the main mission to complete.

The game promises to be a draw for those who love Doom, Quake, Bully, and other RPG games. Rise Of The Darkness is being developed using Torque 3D technology.

The game is anticipated for release in Easter 2011.

Rise of the Darkness (the book)  is the extended version of C.A. Milson’s first novel, The Chosen, First Edition with additional characters and scenes that were deleted from the original version.

Book Synopsis: From the time that the Darkness ruled the ancient tribes, The Elders prophesied of a time when a descendant of The Gods would arise. Tonight, in the town of Winmont, an Ancient Legion has been awoken to finish what they started many millennia ago. Now, the fate of humanity is in the hands of One, but can he overcome the forces that dare to challenge the bloodline of the Gods?

Rise Of The Darkness has been enthusiastically received by readers of Goth, Horror and the Supernatural. “The Chosen is a book about good and evil, and friendships and betrayals. It is a supernatural jaunt through trust, learning, and growth. But, things are not as they seem…to find out why, read Rise Of The Darkness.

C. A. Milson has crafted a story that bridges both the mysterious and the horror in a supernatural thriller. On a scale of 1 to 5, I give it a 4.8”. Cynthia Lea Clark - Psychologist, Author, Actor and Book Review Contributor.

“Seventy percent horror and thirty percent paranormal, The Chosen will appeal to Stephan King fans who love a little bit more supernatural. Well written, this novel is very dark, deep and even disgusting at times, but full of details to keep the storyline on track and worth reading”. Amber Katze - Book Reviewer.
