Key West's leading center for reservations and accommodations in downtown Key West, the Key West Historic Inns, reports that most of their properties are either completely or nearly sold out for this year's Christmas and New Year's holidays. Two of the most popular times for families, couples, and solo travelers to visit the country's southernmost island, Christmas and New Year's in Key West Florida see locals and visitors alike fully getting into the spirit of the season and celebrating in the quintessential Key West style.

Key West Historic Inns, the leading information center and website for reservations in many of the best historic downtown Key West hotels and Key West inn ( http://bestonkeywest.com ) properties, reports that this holiday season is nearly sold out for their various downtown guesthouses and Key West bed & breakfast properties. Smaller properties (the ones with eight to twelve rooms) that are located in the "heart" of downtown Key West (considered the few blocks closest to Mallory Square and the Key West Historic Bight Marina) are completely sold out. Larger properties (with twelve to thirty rooms) located in the Truman Avenue area or the south end of Downtown still have a handful of rooms left per property.

Most of the Key West hotels ( http://bestonkeywest.com ) and inns have a minimum night's stay of at least three nights, with many requiring four and five nights. Many people who plan their Christmas and New Years vacations in Key West make plans to spend multiple nights on the island, but the Key West Historic Inns says that parties looking to spend just one or two nights should not be discouraged as there are often cancellations and "holes" between longer stays that can accommodate the shorter visits.

"Places like the Garden House and the Casa 325, some of our smaller properties that are right in the area with all the bars and restaurants are completely sold out," says a reservations agent, Julie Ypsilanti, at the Key West Historic Inns office. "But some of the properties that have multiple houses like the Chelsea House or the Wicker House still have a few rooms left. They're going fast but people who are just starting to plan their holiday vacations now still have a decent chance of finding a place to stay in downtown Key West."

The Key West Historic Inns is partnered with the leading Key West tours and activities center, Best On Key West. Together, the two companies provide Key West visitors with their hotel Key West ( http://keywesthistoricinns.com) stays and the largest selection of top quality Key West tours such as snorkeling, Dry Tortugas trips, and scuba diving.
