J.M. Field Marketing Supports Local Benefit for Michael Brewer

Dec. 31, 2009 - PRLog -- Ft. Lauderdale, Florida---In response to the terrible tragedy that befell a local 15-year old, Michael Brewer, J.M. Field Marketing has monetarily contributed to the Benefit for Michael Brewer. On October 12, 2009 five boys doused Brewer with a flammable liquid and set him ablaze after an argument over a video game and a bicycle. As a result, Brewer is suffering from burns covering over 60 percent of his body. In support of Brewer, Galuppi’s Restaurant and Patio Bar hosted a fundraiser on Saturday, November 21, 2009 with the purpose of raising funds to cover his medical expenses.

The benefit included a silent auction featuring autographed sports memorabilia, professionally guided fishing and hunting trips, season tickets to South Florida sports teams and other great prizes. There was also a raffle, a bounce house, an Elvis impersonator, a North Pole scene complete with Santa and gifts for the children as well as other entertainment. The fundraiser was a huge success; families and neighbors came out in numbers to enjoy the festivities and support the speedy recovery of Michael Brewer.

Amongst the crowd was a group of J.M. Field Marketing’s employees. Account Executive, Susan Field said, “There has been a remarkable outpouring of support for Michael from our community as well as around the world. As a company we wanted to help out and support the Brewer family in their time of need.” J.M. Field Marketing has built a reputation of being committed to improving the lives of families and children by providing support to non-profit organizations and local charities. Overall, the company contributed over two thousand dollars at this event. All proceeds were donated to Michael Brewer’s medical expense.

The Galuppi's Restaurant Benefit is only one of the many fundraisers held around South Florida to collect funds for Brewer’s medical expenses. Brewer’s family is still accepting individual donations as well, which are to be made to the Family Fund for Michael Brewer set up by WFOR-Ch. 4's Neighbors 4 Neighbors.
