Thompson has extensive experience developing and implementing high-risk and crisis communication plans and programs. Prior to joining S4, Thompson served as the director of external affairs at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). In this role he oversaw all elements of communications and outreach for the agency.
Thompson previously served as deputy assistant secretary for public affairs at the U.S. Department of Defense where he was responsible for the design, development and oversight of communications planning for the Department’s Iraq and Global War on Terror communications.
