Challenge events were held at four locations, with 54 teams, or 216 students altogether, participating. The Fluid Power Challenge is a competition that challenges students to solve an engineering problem using fluid power. It helps them acquire a diversity of teamwork, engineering and problem-solving skills, while introducing them to careers in fluid power.
Now momentum is building for the challenge day on December 10 and 11 at the same locations. That's when the students will work in teams to design and build a fluid power mechanism, and then compete against other teams in a timed competition.
