BEL AIR MAGAZINE, A NEW BI-MONTHLY LIFESTYLE PUBLICATION, PREMIERES IN MARCH 2010 WITH PRINT AND WEB EDITIONS, PROVIDING BEL AIR RESIDENTS WITH A UNIQUE MAGAZINE.

Los Angeles, CA – November 18, 2009 – Residents of Bel Air, the exclusive Southern California community synonymous with taste, elegance, and luxury, will finally enjoy their very own magazine when BEL AIR MAGAZINE launches. BEL AIR MAGAZINE will debut in March 2010, as both a bi-monthly print vehicle and an online presence.

“Our mission is to engage, inform, and inspire our readers with an array of topics that reflect their interests, including art, design, film, fashion, entertaining, fine cuisine, travel, automobiles, and real estate,” explains Publisher Rick Amor. “What will set BEL AIR MAGAZINE apart is our focus on the philanthropy and social consciousness of this unique community. Our magazine will spotlight different charities each month to bring attention to the important causes that the residents of Bel Air champion.”

To that end, the premiere print issue of BEL AIR MAGAZINE will profile legendary humanitarian, animal rights activist, and actress Betty White, and will also feature an in-depth look at musician Dave Koz and his KOZ wine, a project that gives all the proceeds back to charity. Other planned articles include a look at the new special edition Lamborghini Gallardo Valentino Balboni; a spotlight of contemporary artist Leah Devora; an in-the-know Oscar preview; and a special section devoted to upcoming events and happenings in both Los Angeles and New York.

Published bi-monthly, BEL AIR MAGAZINE will guarantee delivery to 25,000 homes in Bel Air, as well as in the adjacent communities of Holmby Hills and Beverly Hills.

“Print is and always will be my first love, but online media is the future. In tandem with the irreplaceable pleasure of flipping through the pages of a luxurious magazine, we want people to be able to experience BEL AIR MAGAZINE quickly and easily online,” says Rick Amor. Many interactive features are planned, including video coverage of charity events, galas, and movie premieres. The website will have Twitter and Facebook feeds, blog formats with interactive commentary, and directories for all areas of interest to Bel Air residents. The website will launch in January 2010 and will recap the 2009 Bel Air Film Festival, for which BEL AIR MAGAZINE is a headlining sponsor.

Jenny Peters will take the helm of BEL AIR MAGAZINE as Editor in Chief. Her extensive credits include stints as Editor in Chief of Brentwood and SCENE magazines, as well as currently penning the “Spywitness” column for the L.A. Daily News/www.LA.com and contributing to worldwide publications ranging from Variety, Los Angeles Confidential, Angeleno, Scholastic, Self, Mademoiselle, Paris Match, and Box, to websites including Gayot.com, Hollywood.com, msnbc.com, and her web magazine, JetSetJen.com.

Anne Shearman-Betts joins BEL AIR MAGAZINE as Advertising Sales Director with considerable publishing experience at TIME, Condé Nast, and Forbes magazines, followed by creating Arena Publishing, her own company, that published SCENE, the Program for Radio City Music Hall, Times Square Times, and the Downtown Arts Festival Program. A proponent of top-quality controlled-circulation publications that combine fresh, unique news and entertainment, she assures that BEL AIR MAGAZINE will be the finest in its category.

Note that the new BEL AIR MAGAZINE has no relation to the in-house magazine previously published by the currently shuttered Hotel Bel-Air, nor to any other past publications.
