By: Art Source for Design Carolyn Sills is a singer, songwriter, bassist and recording artist who is currently embarking on her first solo record of original material, a knockout mix of jazz twinged Americana and retro rock songs. For the past three years, Carolyn has been touring Europe with Boss Tweed, her dark blues & rock n' roll twang trio, gaining an international reputation for being the small bassist with the big voice. She has sung the music of Patsy Cline all over the East Coast with her country outfit Carolyn Sills & The Poor Man's Roses and has sat in with Les Paul as a guest jazz vocalist at the Iridium Jazz Club, recreating the songs he made famous with Mary Ford. At the Tour for the Arts Open House/Silent Art Auction on December 12th in Scottsdale, AZ, she will be performing as an acoustic duo with her longtime guitarist and songwriting partner, Gerard Egan.
