Chip Perro, the creator of the new comic book movie Mission Park, introduced his first story, in a series of short-story action adventures, on Fanpop. Fanpop is a highly trafficked U.S. website that hosts fan clubs, TV shows and movies along with other media and cultural groups, and Perro is using the site to acquaint fans with his Mission Park Superheroes. Mission Park is a superhero action adventure movie set in a vivid comic-book world and will premier in 2010. The adventure stories on Fanpop are independent from the film and will provide fans with an insight into the psyches of five modern-day crime-fighters.
The five superheroes being introduced are vigilante Tessa Faux, the prim and proper sidekick Apple Orchard, Chris Ember the fiery anarchist, Timothy Note the man who wants to fly, and Victor Strength the world’s strongest man. In the Mission Park movie, the team of superheroes are recruited by the Boston Police Department to diffuse a time-bomb situation, that if not controlled, will alter the fate of the entire world. The Fanpop adventure series kicks off with part-one of Vanishing Heroes where Tessa Faux finds herself falling for a pre-date escapade.
Mission Park is produced by Deborah Perro, written by Chip Perro, and directed by Chip Perro and Rick Perro. It stars: Sam Pannier, Lauren Guglielmello, Chip Perro, Casey Preston, and Christopher G. Pike. The original score is by composer, Gregg Pannier. The film is in post-production, with plans for an early 2010 release.
