St John’s Shopping Centre, Perth, has come up with a novel way for parents to beat the queues this Christmas with the launch of their online booking system for visits to Santa’s Grotto.
The grotto, which opened on Saturday 21st November, attracts thousands of visitors over the 6 week retailing period in the run up to Christmas. However, for many parents, spending time in queues with young children can be stressful and so the shopping centre believes it has come up with the ideal solution: Book to see Santa online and you get to jump right to the front of the queue when you arrive at the grotto.
Santa, who opened his grotto on Saturday and welcomed over 275 children over the weekend commented “So many things are happening online nowadays and, while it can’t replace the personal touch completely, it can certainly make things easier for the little boys and girls, and their Mummies and Daddies, who come to visit me. It’s particularly useful for any children who find waiting difficult, or who may have special needs. Jumping right to the front of the queue is a way of making their visit extra special.”
Santa’s grotto is open every Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 12pm - 5pm to welcome little boys and girls, and hear their Christmas wishes.
