Taipei, Taiwan - 4ipnet, Inc., a provider of wireless network security and management products, today introduced its high-end dual-band 3x3 MIMO 802.11n EAP300 Enterprise Access Point, backward compatible with 802.11a/b/g. EAP300 leverages the benefits of the IEEE 11n standard – high throughput, greater coverage, and more consistent signal – and like other members of 4ipnet Access Point family, is controllable by any of the WHG-series Controllers to create a seamless user experience and make larger-scale deployment a breeze.
Designed for bandwidth-hungry applications such as voice-over-WLAN, video conferencing, and video surveillance, EAP300 packs a wide range of advanced features, including: 3x3 transmit/receive antenna MIMO (multiple input multiple output) with up to 300Mbps data rates, three detachable/ field replaceable high-gain antennas for optimal wireless connectivity, a gigabit Ethernet interface, and 802.3af PoE (Power over Ethernet) for simplified installation. But beyond common expectations, its real surprise is in the patent-pending 4ipWES (Press-n-Connect)
Bridging multiple EAP300 APs is literally at the touch of a button with 4ipWES, which enables a quick and automatic WDS Easy Setup. It works in a walk: once the WES buttons on the rear of two or more EAP300s are pressed, they start connecting to each other automatically without further configuration. Also, EAP300 comes with all of the demanding requirements one would expect in a wireless device for enterprise applications, including business-grade security (802.1X, WPA and WPA2), and multiple ESSIDs with VLAN tags to separate the traffics of different departments in one organization. The QoS – WMM ensures the quality of voice/video when multiple applications are transmitting media and data over the air simultaneously.
Given the high performance, multi-media capabilities, and relatively painless setup, the EAP300 is competitively priced for even the smallest businesses at US$450. For more information, please contact sales@4ipnet.com.
