Calgary, Alberta, Canada -- Jagorb International, a Calgary, Alberta-based company selling orb-shaped nail files, is excited to announce that it has just opened up a new sales region. Jagorb nail files are now being sold to customers in Accra, the capital city of Ghana, a nation on the coast of the western region of Africa.
“The things we take for granted here in North America are not in ready supply in areas like Ghana,” says Melody Murphy, President and CEO of Jagorb International. Murphy was contacted by Frank Gilbert in Accra to purchase 1,400 Jagorb nail files for his customers. “Frank thought the Jagorb was a unique product that the women of Ghana would appreciate.”
He was right. Seventy of the round nail files were sold within half an hour of opening the box! “Jagorb is moving better than we expected,” says Gilbert. “To create demand, we are providing it to businesses first before the public market. We are confident that during the season of giving, these companies will want to purchase the Jagorb as gifts for their clients.”
The Jagorb is an orb-shaped nail file on a keychain that can be taken anywhere….even on an airplane!
The idea for Jagorb came to Murphy when she was sitting outside her LA hotel last September with a chipped nail and no nail file! A travel agent for 20 years, Murphy is sensitive to the needs of travellers, particularly since 9/11 after which the airlines placed restrictions on what flyers could carry on the airplane.
The Jagorb can be used in so many ways: as a keychain; special event piece for weddings and conventions;
Jagorb has been featured in LA Splash Magazine, and In January, the round nail file will be part of the gift bags for the stars at the Golden Globe Awards. Murphy is looking forward to the trip to Beverly Hills, California where she will be among twenty companies featured at the Gifting Lounge where the stars come to receive their gift bags.
