2010 Toyota Sequoia Review
After taking last year off, the 2010 Toyota Sequoia is back and standing taller than ever among the other full-size SUVs in its class. The 2010 Toyota Sequoia gets freshened styling and a new base engine. Sequoia shares elements of its basic design with Toyota's Tundra pickup truck. Saying that the Sequoia is big is a gross understatement. Two new engines provide mammoth power and capability. The base 310-horsepower, 4.6-liter i-Force V-8 produces 34 horsepower more than the 2008 Sequoia. If thats not enough juice for you, a 381-horsepower, 5.7-liter V-8 has 401 pounds-feet of torque and can tow up to 10,000 pounds. The Sequoia also boasts a 381-horsepower, 5.7-liter engine with Flex-fuel capability. Competing with the likes of the Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford Expedition and Nissan Armada, the Sequoia receives 13-14 mpg in the city and 18-19 mpg on the highway.

Walkaround
The Sequoia is available in three trim levels SR5, Limited and Platinum. All trims seat up to eight passengers quite comfortably in three rows of seats. The second row slides to create easy access to the power-operated third row (power optional). Choose between cloth or leather-trimmed front bucket seats with power or adjustable lumbar control and 10-way power-adjustable drivers seat. Seven-passenger perforated leather-trimmed heated and ventilated front bucket seats are optional. All three trims feature three-zone climate control, dual 12V auxiliary power outlets, high solar-energy absorbing tinted glass and a power tilt/slide moonroof with sunshade. Newly standard on the SR5 is a 310-hp 4.6-liter V8 engine, which replaces a 276-hp 4.7-liter V8. Optional on SR5 and standard on Limited and Platinum is a 381-hp 5.7-liter V8. All Sequoias have a 6-speed automatic transmission and are available with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive that can be left engaged on dry pavement. The 4WD system includes a low-range gear for off-road use. Maximum towing capacity is 10,000 lb. All 4WD models with the 5.7 V8 can be equipped to run on E85 ethanol-blended fuel. Seating for eight is standard on SR5 and Limited. Seven-passenger seating via 2nd-row bucket seats is standard on the Platinum and a no-charge option on the Limited.

Summary
When it comes to safety, the 2010 Toyota Sequoia has you covered with eight standard airbags. Driver and front passenger seat-mounted side airbags and front- and all-row roll-sensing side curtain airbags and driver and passenger knee airbags are all standard. Antilock brakes with brake assist and electronic brake-force distribution and an electronic stability system with traction control are standard. Because the Toyota Sequoia is as big as an actual sequoia, front and rear parking sensors are optional. Supersize your driving experience with the return of the powerful, spacious and feature-laden 2010 Toyota Sequoia. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags that cover all seating rows, and front side airbags. Standard are a tilt and telescopic steering column and three-zone climate control. Optional on the Limited and standard on the Platinum are a navigation system with real-time traffic information, DVD entertainment, and a rearview camera. Heated and cooled front seats, heated 2nd-row seats, a power-folding 3rd-row seat, and a load-leveling suspension are standard exclusively on the Platinum. On the inside, both the Limited and Platinum trims include a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio/climate controls and Bluetooth connectivity. An AM/FM/MP3 CD player with integrated XM Satellite Radio, auxiliary input/USB port and eight speakers are standard. A DVD navigation system (with 7-inch screen), JBL sound system with 14 speakers, XM NavTraffic, 4-disc CD changer and backup monitor are optional on the Limited trim and standard in the Platinum. The same goes for the rear-seat DVD entertainment system with 9-inch LCD screen and dual wireless headphones.
