Nov. 23, 2009 - PRLog -- Abdominoplasty in India:

We normally wouldn't pair "surgery" and "vacation" together, but a growing trend combines the two. Although cosmetic surgery travel is increasingly popular for a number of reasons, the overriding issue is cost. In the United States, cosmetic surgery is cost-prohibitive. In a number of other countries, predominantly in India, prices are considerably lower. Discretion is also a factor: It's easier to say, "I'm taking a two-week trip to India" than letting everyone know you want implants. Additionally most Americans simply don't have the extra time, so it makes sense to use those available vacation days. Abdominoplasty is an operation that removes excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen and tightens the muscles of the abdominal wall. "Tummy Tuck" is an other name used for this operation.

An Abdominoplasty or Tummy tuck surgery usually begins with a long incision across the abdomen, from hip bone to hip bone, just above the pubic area. The shape of the incision is like a V, with a flat bottom. The flat part of the V occurs at the bottom point of the abdomen immediately above the pubic area. The sides of the V form angles along the pelvis up to the top of the hip bone. A second incision is made to free the navel from surrounding tissue. With partial abdominoplasty, the incision is much shorter and the navel may not be moved, although it may be pulled into an unnatural shape as the skin is tightened and stitched. Next, the surgeon separates the skin from the abdominal wall all the way up to your ribs and lifts a large skin flap to reveal the vertical muscles in your abdomen (rectus muscles). These muscles are tightened by pulling them close together and stitching them into their new position. This provides a firmer abdominal wall and narrows the waistline. The purpose of Tummy Tuck plastic surgery is to change your tummy shape, not to lose weight. If fat is localized in the abdomen, but there is no excessive skin, then liposuction is an alternative to Tummy tuck. Liposuction and Tummy Tuck are not usually done at the same time, because suction of the skin during liposuction may damage the skin that is being stretched and repositioned.

India is known for its natural beauty, and now increasingly, its medical and dental services. Tour2india4health is a medical tourism company in India offering its cosmetic procedures predominantly to Indian as well as foreigners. A team of doctors largely trained in the US and Central America perform a number of cosmetic procedures at significantly lower prices than what you would pay in other countries. In fact, it is probably safer to have Abdominoplasty in India than in most countries due to the extensive experience and expertise of the plastic surgeon.
