This year, the auction for the unclaimed cash and FL unclaimed property was held on the 23rd & 24th of October in Fort Lauderdale. Money from the auction went towards the education trust fund, but even if your property was sold you can still make a monetary claim. So, who should attend this auction? If you are on the look out for enchanting antiques, or an exotic piece of jewelry, or if you think there might be some cash or property with its origin in your family roots, then these state run auctions are for you. So, you might find watches, jewelry, coins, currency, stamps, historical items and other miscellaneous articles from abandoned safe deposit boxes during these auctions. In majority of the cases, the unclaimed cash and property is never claimed and the state is forced to auction off the goods to create more space in the vault.
The most recent public auction was held October 23 & 24, 2009, in Ft. Lauderdale. The date and location of the next auction have not yet been determined. To receive email notification of the next auction, please email at thomas.egler@
