50th anniversary of Motown, with a minimum of $350 price, for a single ticket, was worth admission to see top stars of Motown like Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and Berry Gordy who founded Motown in Detroit. The Motown 50 Golden Gala was a fundraiser for the Motown Historical Museum.
Many of the legends of Black History & sounds of Motown were present, including: Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sinbad, and Dave Bing, the former NBA Detroit Piston and current Mayor of the Motor City. The 2009 Celebration of The Motown Gala is significant because it marks 50 years of Motown founded by the legendary Berry Gordy, Jr.
