FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Nov 22, 2009 – “Understanding the Instant Impact on IP Lawyers of Cold War Museum, Inc. v. Cold War Air Museum, Inc. (Fed. Cir. Nov. 5, 2009) on ‘Acquired Distinction’ Trademarks and TTAB Cancellation Proceedings” is a time efficient way to be in-the-know on the most up to date facts and ramifications of this case and take proactive steps on behalf of current and prospective clients it could impact the most. Lawyers should take the 60 minutes to view this webinar (via computer, mobile phone, iPod or printed out) to make sure they have answers ready to key questions they are sure to be asked on the immediate ramifications of this decision by colleagues, clients and other professionals with whom they discuss the case, as TTAB cancellation proceedings may proceed very differently than in the past.

According to Catharine Lloyd, head of speaker relations for ExecSense, “We were honored to have Mr. Kera lead a webinar on this topic.  His work is highly regarded in the industry and the webinar a great resource for lawyers.”

According to Mr. Kera , the Federal Circuit’s decision in the Cold WarMuseum appeal will have a profound effect on the extent and nature of discovery in contested proceedings over marks claimed to be registrable on the basis of acquired distinctiveness and on the character and amount of evidence adduced by a party that is contesting the registration of the mark.
