WBI Offers $1000 Barber Scholarship for New Students.
Western Beauty Institute is offering an exciting incentive for those considering pre-enrolling in our day and night Barbering course. Now through the end of the year, WBI will award a $1000 tuition scholarship to all newly enrolled barber students only. The Barbering study program covers all phases of Barbering, Hair cutting, Styling, Shaving, Facials, Hair Waving, Hair Coloring, and much, much more!
So what does it take to become a state board licensed Barber? All students must complete the minimum 1500-hour program which includes technical and practical operations. Technical instruction involves demonstration, lecture, classroom participation, studying textbook and related material, writing of outlines, classroom use of audio and visual film, tape, slides and examination. Practical operations is required which is basically actual practice by the student of all completed services performed on another person or a mannequin. This will prepare students for the California State Board examination. Successful completion of the Examination and Licenser will allow the Barber to perform all skills in the Barbering field.
These new classes will fill up quickly and the $1000 offer will expire on 12/31/2009. Prospective students should sign up as soon as possible to take advantage of the scholarhip and ensure a seat.
