The Seven Seals Award is symbolic of the seven services that comprise the Reserve components. It is intended for individuals whose initiative and support, over time, promotes the ESGR mission. The Seven Seals award is the highest state award given from the ESGR and is presented at the discretion of the committee chair in recognition of a significant individual or organizational achievement, initiative or support that promotes the mission of ESGR.
According to Phillip Speake ESGR Florida Chairman, “The Seven Seals Award is the only Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve award that bridges both the employer and ESGR volunteer recognition awards program. It was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals, companies or organizations that provide significant achievement, initiative or support that promotes and supports the ESGR mission.”
After the presentation, Dicks said, “These city governments have really gone the extra mile to support the livelihood of our brave men and women who serve this nation in the National Guard and Reserves. As the 1.3 million members of the Guard and Reserve forces continue to perform an increasing number of specialized military missions along our borders and on dangerous battlefields around the world, the ESGR will continue to be a dedicated resource for the employers of our courageous citizen warriors.”
