Anderson & Anderson, Inc., the Trusted Name in Anger Management, will be releasing an updated Los Angeles County Anger Management Court Referral List for January 2010. This list will be sent to the Los Angeles County Superior Court, and all of its branches. This court list will remain in effect through December 2010. Rather than renew the list every six months as it has done in the past, Anderson & Anderson is now renewing the list on a yearly basis only. Potential providers who do not register for inclusion on the 2010 list will have an opportunity to do so for 2011.
The providers on this list are certified by Anderson & Anderson, and they have done the following: 1.) completed the 40 hour live certification training, 2.) are using the Conover Assessment and post-tests, and 3.) are using the Anderson & Anderson client workbooks and other Anderson & Anderson training material for their classes.
Each court mandated anger management client receives a copy of this list, and he/she can choose which program to enroll in. The current providers list, in its web-based form, is available on the Anderson & Anderson website. Once the new list is sent to all of the courts, the web version will be updated. George Anderson says that he has taken special care in updating the provider list so that it accurately reflects the statements made above. Although Anderson & Anderson does not claim responsibility for the quality of services provided by each anger management provider on the list, George Anderson understands the value in screening providers so that respect is upheld for this process and the standards that the courts have come to expect.
Anderson & Anderson is prepared to provide any Judge, Commissioner, or Court Administrator, within Los Angeles County, a complimentary copy of the client workbook “Gaining Control of Ourselves”, which is used for adult anger management clients.
