BioAxis DNA Research Centre pvt ltd, one of the most trusted and largest DNA testing providers in the country announced discounts on its DNA Testing services up to January 2010. BioAxis DNA Research Centre is the oldest private DNA testing provider available in the country. The company started its DNA testing services in Secunderabad in 2005 and presently it operates from almost all the important locations in the country with the company operated offices in Lucknow, Bhubaneswar and Hyderabad. This was announced at a two day workshop organized on DNA Technology by BioAxis DNA Research centre, LB Nagar Laboratory campus at Hyderabad on 15-17th November 2009. People from several parts of the country took part in the workshop.
BDRC, CEO Dr Amit was present in the valediction of the workshop and he stated that “DNA Research centre has the mission to create awareness about use of DNA Technology to general public and investigating agencies, this is the reason we are continuously working with several police departments and forensic science laboratories in the country”. We are already in process of signing the MOU with Genome foundation directed by Dr Lalji singh-the DNA Pioneer in India and former director CCMB to help the needy people of our country by doing the genetic testing services and training. This was 1984 when DNA Fingerprinting Technology was first discovered by Sir Alec John Jeffreys to have its implications in establishing the family relationship. We are into the 25th year of its discovery but still a lot of awareness is to be created in the countries like ours. DNA bill will definitely increase the confidence on DNA Technology once passed in the parliament.
The Country operations manager Mr Anukul Mishra said –We want to create the awareness of the DNA Testing and its applications in the country and will try making it reachable to every family in India. He announced the company will provide upto 50% discounts in all the DNA Testing services and cytogenetic testing services till January 2010.
He added-BDRC has been strengthening the knowledge base of the society by providing most advanced conferences, workshops, trainings and projects to our students base in the country, we will be providing free workshops and discounts in the trainings available with us so that every student may fetch the benefit on the eve of 25th year of discovery of Applied DNA techniques. We are planning to select some student scientists for presentation of papers to the upcoming IEEE conference in Barcelona, Spain as we did in 2007 by taking more than 10 students to Singapore for Pattern recognition conference.
