FormalXchange.com is teaming up with Somewhere Inn Time Reception Center to bring the dress exchange experience to a personal level. Located in Lindon, Utah, Somewhere Inn Time is an elegant bed and breakfast on five acres of breathtaking property complete with waterfall.
It’s the perfect backdrop for wedding gowns, prom dresses and formals. It also provides an elaborate venue where girls can trade or sell their gowns without being charged any fees. The founders of FormalXchange.com understand the difficulties of living in the current economy and know others are feeling the strain as well.
That financial strain doesn’t have to mean the end of beauty, however. FormalXchange.com offers an online site where girls can sell their used gowns to make money for college or new gowns; while providing an avenue for others to purchase those same formals at affordable prices. They do this without charging any fees.
Now they’re bringing it to Utah County in person so girls have an opportunity to try on gowns before they buy and make trades with others in person.
It’s all happening just in time for the new year, too.
The Formal Xchange will take place December 28, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and all are welcome to attend. Girls are encouraged to bring gowns they’d like to trade or sell early so they can be marked and put on display before the crowds arrive. On site vendors will provide additional shopping opportunities and door prizes will be awarded.
It’s an excellent opportunity to shop ahead for those Valentines dances and even prom. It’s also a chance to step inside Somewhere Inn Time to see what they have to offer. Their reception rooms are elegant, their suites immaculately designed.
Dress donations will also be accepted, to be given to girls who know they cannot afford one for an upcoming formal. Those dresses that aren’t claimed at the event will be posted free of charge on FormalXchange.com for national exposure and shipped by the founders of the site.
It’s a dream come true for the teenage brainchild, Kaneasha Heirtzler, who grew tired of the hunt involved in finding an affordable, beautiful formal and decided to find a solution for others.
