In 2008, the market for PACS was valued at almost $1.3 billion, representing an increase of 6.7% over 2007. This market encompasses large hospitals (500+ beds), medium hospitals (201-499 beds), community hospitals (200 beds and under) and imaging centers (non-affiliated). This growth will be fuelled by the sales of PACS, mostly to the community and imaging center markets. Replacement¨Cdriven sales will fuel the market for the medium and large hospital sectors. This report also covers the market for electronic medical records.
