New Memory Lounge from Photo Designs Turns Ordinary Wedding Reception Into Unforgettable Celebrati

As 2010 wedding plans kick into high gear, the Boston area is introduced to an event photography service that lets guests go behind the curtain to take their own fun, uninhibited pictures and create lasting memories for the bride and groom.

Nov. 19, 2009 - PRLog -- Burlington, MA – Photo Designs has added the Memory Lounge to its current line of popular event photography services. As a twist on the traditional photo booth concept, the Memory Lounge takes the ordinary rented photo booth to a completely new level of elegance, customization, comfort, and personal service.

Denise Barry, owner of Burlington-based Photo Designs, specifically chose the recent Wedding Event hosted by the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce (http://www.newburyportchamber.org/weddings.shtml) to formally debut the Memory Lounge because it’s during the fall months that future brides and grooms put their plans for popular spring and summer weddings into motion. The booth saw lots of traffic as event-goers snapped their pictures and experienced the relaxed atmosphere of the Memory Lounge for themselves.

Intended not only for weddings but for company parties, sweet 16’s, or graduation parties, the Memory Lounge (http://www.denisesphotos.com/Photo_Designs/Memory_Lounge.html) is a 10ft. x 10ft. private lounge area that can be personalized with up-lighting, props, or decorated to coordinate with a theme or style. Guests enter the lounge and snap their own pictures by remote control.  The photos are then printed on-site, and the lounge is supervised during the entire event by the Photo Designs team.  Commenting on the lounge, Denise said, “The entire tone of the Memory Lounge is elegant and playful.  It allows guests to express themselves in a more relaxed way while in a formal setting.  As much as I enjoy being behind the camera, I also love being able to interact with guests and encourage those spirited photographs ”.

According to Jennifer Hansen, a professional event planner and owner of Gracious Events Management in Newburyport, Ma. (http://www.graciousevents.com), “The photo booth was one of the top photography trends identified in The Knot for 2009”. The Knot (http://www.theknot.com) is a respected website for sharing wedding ideas.  As for her reaction to Photo Designs’ Memory Lounge, Ms. Hansen said, “In the event industry we are always trying to find new, unique ideas to introduce to our clients - which can be challenging.  The Memory Lounge is a classy, creative, fun idea that my brides love, and more importantly their guests really enjoy.  And if the interest in the lounge last month at the Newburyport event was any indication, I'd say that Photo Designs will be extremely busy this coming year.”
