Sunera Hires an Established Executive to Lead its New Carolinas Practice

Sunera (www.sunera.com), a multinational provider of business and technology risk consulting services, would like to announce the hiring of Wes Bjorklund, as the Managing Director for its new Carolinas practice. Mr. Bjorklund comes to Sunera with eighteen years in corporate and professional services roles across several industries including financial services, retail, manufacturing and distribution, and healthcare. He has extensive experience in technology and operational risk, IT management, information security and privacy, process improvement, due diligence, strategic planning, system selection projects, and business continuity planning consulting. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and received his Bachelors degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He will be responsible for business development, staff management and client delivery.  He will also lead Sunera’s overall efforts for growth and brand development throughout North and South Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee.  

Prior to joining Sunera, Mr. Bjorklund led the development of an enterprise-wide IT risk management program at one of the top ten financial services institutions in the US. The project included the implementation of several GRC software solutions from Archer Technologies. His other corporate roles have included serving as a chief information security officer, managing an ERM program, and leading an IT audit department. Mr. Bjorklund’s consulting experience stems from his time at KPMG, where he led the delivery of advisory and attestation services for the firm's largest client in the southeast.
