The UMDNJ is a prestigious, State-funded health sciences institution which consists of eight academic units, most of which are located in New Jersey, one in New Brunswick and another in Stratford. Established in 1970 as the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (CMDNJ), the institution was rechristened its present name in 1981. The largest institution of health sciences in the United States, UMDNJ is also the principal research university in the State of New Jersey.
The UCHC is part of the University Behavioral Healthcare (UBHC), which in turn is a comparatively new academic and health sciences university of the UMDNJ. The UBHC offers new treatment options to those suffering from mental health and addictive disorder. This healthcare unit offers hope to those afflicted with chronic ailments which could not be cured by common treatment. The UCHC is responsible for providing comprehensive medical services to convicts of 14 State prisons. The behavioral health program caters to the mental health requirements of both, adult and juvenile delinquents, while keeping within the limits of State correctional facilities.
About East Village Dental: East Village Dental was established in 1989 by Dr. Jeffrey Krantz. The clinic was established with the purpose of serving the East Village community of Manhattan and providing them with modern dental care. Dr. Krantz began his practice in an office with a single chair, and soon expanded to the clinic’s present location on 645 E 11th Street # 1 with a total of three treatment rooms. Currently the clinic is equipped with a fully digitized, technologically-
