Released in 1966, the Lamy 2000 is still in production today. It was designed as a pen for the future and really did stand the test of time. The latest additon to the 2000 range is the Lamy 2000 Titanium ballpoint, a beautifully finished, heavy, perfectly weighted ballpoint pen.

Lamy's flagship fountain pen is the Lamy 2000 Fountain Pen. The 2000 was innovative for its day for its use of a special fibreglass resin for the body. It is the only Lamy fountain pen that is piston filled so will only take bottle ink. This however is overcome by the fact that this pen really does hold a lot of ink in the body. The Lamy 2000 has a flexible 14-Kt gold nib which is super smooth to write with.The 2000 design was influenced by the Bauhaus and continues to be popular forty years after being introduced.
