Mom Tri's Oasis Wine Spectator Award Party
The event took place on the terrace of the Oasis Spring Tapas Bar and included an Australian wine tasting; all wines were supplied by local importer Wine Gallery.
An impressive award for any restaurant but especially a restaurant open in its first year as Oasis was launched November 2008.
Mom Tri’s Oasis has enjoyed much success and established its self as one of Kata’s best for Mediterranean beachfront dining and a live jazz band in the tapas bar.
Oasis’ award wining wine list has over 200 wines, including a selection of wines available by the glass.
It should come as no surprise that Oasis has won this award since Wine Director Georges Ciret began his passion for wine at an early age. “I was raised in a wine environment between some wine cases, my parents owned a wine shop in the heart of Paris. By the age of six I was helping my parents around the shop. As I got older I used to spend long hours contemplating the lovely labels of some grand crus wines. “
George Ciret expressed his pleasure with the award, “we are very proud to win, there are not so many restaurants in the world with this award. It is important because the Wine Spectator Magazine is the number one authority for wine in the world.”
