MacNichol Guitars has donated a Breedlove Guitars Stage C250/CK, Limited Edition model to Daily Acts, a non-profit organization focused on sustainability efforts. Daily Acts will use the guitar in a number of upcoming events. Below is a video showing musicians Megan Slankard and Jeff Campbell (who is playing the donated Breedlove Stage model).
Daily Acts is a non-profit organization, founded in 2002 by citizens of Sonoma County, a mostly rural community full of inspiring green solutions and well-intended people often overwhelmed into inaction by the many social and environmental crises we face. Catalyzed into action by personal and national crisis shortly after 9/11 and the sudden death of his mom, Trathen Heckman committed to a vision of addressing the prevalent sense of fear, overwhelm and disempowerment while inspiring, empowering and educating concerned citizens to live rich lives that enrich life. Soon a small group came together to directly address our personal and planetary crises through sustainable solutions rooted in the power of inspired daily actions. By becoming the media and highlighting the brilliant green leaders and models amongst us, Daily Acts provides vision, hope and effective action to create healthy, just lives and communities. Centered around the core insight that every choice you make matters, we promote the idea of “selfish altruism”
By lifting up a small number of existing and emerging green leaders who are centered in their peace and power, we have the ability to change our direction from a fossil-fuel powered, disposable path of destruction to a healthy, just and reverent human culture. To do this we focus on the root issue of behavior change through hands-on green education, permaculture, sustainable agriculture, green and natural building, water conservation and community building. While we focus on growing green leaders in Sonoma County and the Bay Area, we are creating models that could be applied anywhere people are providing inspired solutions to problems.
