Local San Diego non-profit It’s All about the Kids Foundation recently launched an online auction site which will raise money for the foundation and the children’s programs for the charities it supports. Celebrity memorabilia items such as a signed Nirvana Guitar and a glove and robe signed by Evander Holyfield are included on the list of over $600,000 items up for bid.
Just in time for the holidays, this online auction provides items for nearly every budget, taste and shopper. From luxury pieces like Tahitian pearl and diamond necklaces, Ferrari Hydroplane model boats and chartered yacht excursions to affordable home décor, gift baskets, wines, games and toys – this online auction covers an array of gift-giving and personal shopping desires.
“It’s All About the Kids is excited to provide these amazing items, including sports and celebrity memorabilia, at such affordable prices,” says Shawn Heyl, President of It’s All About the Kids Foundation. “With so many more kids in need and so much less funding available this year we are looking for any and all ways to support our charities and keep the organization going.” Heyl also expressed understanding that even a little bit makes a big difference. “We truly appreciate all of the donations and assistance our supporters give. We know we wouldn’t be able to continue without them.”
To bid on auction items simply visit www.charityauctiononline.org, create a user log in account and begin bidding. Bidding closes on Dec. 13, 2009. Another auction will begin mid December and more auctions will continue through 2010.
