Nov. 18, 2009 - PRLog -- Scheduled to perform at Recher Theatre in Towson, MD during their first headlining tour Class of 2009, the platinum, Billboards chart-topper Saving Abel will arrive in Baltimore, Maryland later this month.  However for one of the band’s most popular members, this performance is a reminder of his roots.  Scott Bartlett, lead guitarist for the band and co-founder of the alternative clothing line TATCo, is a son of city along with one of the nation’s most promising new musicians.

“While I’m home, I’ll speak to the guys at my old alma mater, Gilman High School, and give a guitar master class, answer Q&A and give the students insight about entering the entertainment industry.  After that, I plan to make some visits around the city to the places that have made me who I am today,” said Bartlett.  “It’s always good to return back to Baltimore, where it all began for me.  It’s a reminder of my rock roots and my love for music.”  During his time at Gilman, Bartlett built his first guitar, a “flying V” and made the news for his efforts.  He was also the Maryland State Bench Press Champion his senior year.

Bartlett and his band members have reached new heights over the last year.  On the tour, they are the first act in over three years to have three top five rock hits off their debut release. The band’s debut singles” Addicted,” “18 Days,” and “Drowning (Face Down)” have delivered a massive fan base. Saving Abel’s biggest hit “Addicted,” was a #1 rock hit, crossed over to peak at #7 on Billboard’s Top 40 Airplay Chart and also sold over a million downloads.

On top of his musical career, Bartlett also is the co-founder of a new brand that is also becoming as popular as his music.  TAT Co was created to reflect a different expression of alternative music by modern music icons like that of he and Jared Weeks of Saving Abel along with Zack Myers and Barry Kerch of Shinedown.

“It’s a growing brand,” said Bartlett.  “We started out with just a few orders a month and now we’ve seen dramatic interest in the clothing line by fans of the music and by fans of quality original clothing.  Nothing about my music or my clothing is cookie cutter.  It’s all about making a new statement regardless of your background.  TAT Co does that.”
