Here is a wonderful opportunity for the Indians to get the blessings of Lord Buddha in our country after 2500 years. For the first time in India the greatest collection of the Relics of Lord Buddha and other enlightened masters collected over the last 2500 years is brought for public display in Chennai and Bangalore in February 2010.
The Relics are semi-precious stones that come out of the funeral cremation of the enlightened masters. Different parts of the body come out as crystals in different shapes, sizes and colors. It is interesting to note that Dalai Lama has also contributed his personal collection to the Relic collection, to support its noble cause of blessing people around the world.
The Relic tour has been happening for about a decade in many parts of the world. The purpose of the Relic Tour is to inspire people of all spiritual traditions and paths to come together to experience the blessings of the relics. It is observed by the visitors that where-ever the Relic tour has happened, the crime rate has dropped and the economy has improved. It is also noted that the recent recession has reduced effect in cities where the Relic tour had happened in the past.
