Equity Release Awards 2009: Bower Retirement Services Win Best Financial Adviser

The accolade of Best Financial Adviser has been awarded to Bower Retirement Services at the Equity Release Awards 2009.

The Awards, the most important in the Equity Release industry, were sponsored by Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society (LV) and Safe Home Income Plans (SHIP) amongst others and recognised those who offer the very best advice and products.

Shortlisted from hundreds of advisers across the UK, Bower Retirement Services (http://www.brsequity.co.uk) fought off stiff competition to find themselves one of just three finalists, thanks to nominations from a selection of top equity release providers. Choices were based on the adviser’s ability to deliver an outstanding level of advice to consumers considering equity release and their commitment in providing a moral and ethical service.

The awards ceremony took place on 13 November at the Merchant Taylor’s Hall in London and was hosted by BBC Broadcaster Garry Richardson.

Receiving the Best Financial Adviser (less than 10 employees) award was Geoff Charles, Managing Director of Bower Retirement Services. He said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won this prestigious award. Being nominated by the industry’s most important players makes us very proud and we’d like to sincerely thank everyone who voted for us.”

Geoff Charles was eager to comment on how the Equity Release Awards were an important vehicle for driving advice and service levels upwards and how they enable consumers to recognise quality in the industry.
