Wilkes University is announcing two review courses for the fundamental in engineering (FE exam), formerly the EIT Exam. The courses are being team taught by faculty from the Division of Engineering, Physics, and Environmental Engineering Department. The three courses will be offered on Saturdays over the period from January 9 - April 3, 2010. The three course topics include Fundamentals of Engineering Review, Power System Concentration for Electrical Engineering, and PE in Mechanical with a concentration in Heat and Mass Transfer.
The Fundamentals of Engineering Review Courses will help prepare student to take the Fundamentals in engineering exam. The topics will include mathematics, chemistry, engineering, mechanics, material properties, fluid mechanics, electricity, magnetism, and thermodynamics. The Professional Engineer exam in Electrical and Power Systems will focus on Electrical Circuits, Electronics, Control Systems, and Communications. The PE exam preparation in Mechanical will concentrate on Heat and Mass Transfer and include general knowledge, codes and standards, machine design and materials, hydraulics and fluids, energy conversion and power systems knowledge, and HVAC/Refrigeration.
The courses are being taught by faculty from the Wilkes University's Division of Engineering and Physics and the Environmental Engineering Program.
