Financial Soultions has learned of plans by one of Europe’s top green investment firms to launch a new share issue designed to assist in the funding of its renewable energy acquisition campaign. The New share issue by Tridos Renewables, the renewable energy investment section of UK ethical banking specialist Tridos, will be worth £7million or around $11.75 million.
The new share issue program will be accessible by both new and current investors able to invest at least £50,050 ($84,112).
Financial Soultions believes the fund is intended to help finance considerable growth of Tridos UK’s renewable energy portfolio. The firm presently operates 5 renewable schemes in the UK, with another to due to come on line in 2010 after the recent acquisition of a North Wales wind farm capable of generating 9.2MW.
Agreeing with recent speculations that the recession has left many renewable energy projects severely undervalued the company's operations director was quoted as saying it was a "good time to invest in renewable energy", adding that the company was well positioned for further expansion, Financial Soultions was informed.
