For nearly two decades the Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs has been lighting up holiday nights. Over the years both the number of lights festooned on and around the Hotel Colorado, as well as the number of people who turn up to watch the ceremony have steadily increased. On November 27, at 6:30 PM, to a crowd of several hundred people, nearly one million lights will burst through the darkness and light up the night sky signaling the start of Glenwood Springs’ holiday season. But the festivities don’t stop at the Hotel Colorado’s courtyard; visitors inside will be delighted by 76 different holiday “sets,” many with charming moving parts. Throughout the holiday season, beginning on December 6th, the Hotel Colorado also serves holiday treats including traditional afternoon teas, breakfasts with Santa, gourmet dessert buffets & cordials, wine dinners, and a Christmas Day brunch.
