www.docharry.com, Central Texas – With the holidays fast approaching, it is time for Austin, Pflugerville, and Round Rock residents to help the Marine Toys for Tots toy drive to kick into high gear.
According to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation website, “The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.”
Austin Chiropractic Health Center will serve as a drop-off location for toys. With a yearly commitment to the toy drive, the clinic expects to have a great turn-out this year. Dr. Harry Schultze D.C. says, “I get so excited about the toy drive. I especially love to give our patients a chance to give generously. Imagining children like my own opening brand new toys at Christmas is all the motivation I need”.
Sergeant D’Mitri Julius, the Austin and surrounding area campaign coordinator, reports that serving the outlying counties in addition to the urban areas is a special aspect of the toy drive. “The gratitude from families, especially from communities without their own campaign, makes what we do a deeply gratifying experience.”
Austin Chiropractic Health Center is offering free first day services to anyone who brings in a new, unwrapped toy. These services include exam, consultation, any needed X-rays, and a written report of findings (a $300 value). Established patients are also encouraged to give. Community members may also donate without becoming a patient at 1200 W. Howard Lane Ste E, 78753. Other toy drop locations in Austin include the Babies R Us and Toys R Us stores in the area.
