Oakwood Veneer Announces Wood Veneer Design Contest

Nov. 16, 2009 - PRLog -- Troy, Michigan based wood veneer supplier Oakwood Veneer has announced its 2009 Wood Veneer Design Contest, and the best news is, in addition to a grand prize winner, every entrant is a winner.

“We know that many of our customers are building some of the most visually stunning projects you’ve ever seen,” said Peter Rodgers, Oakwood Veneer’s owner. “This is our way to showcase their talents. The other day I saw a fantastic curio cabinet made with stained cherry veneer and walnut burl veneer inlays. A month ago I saw a ten foot dining room table made with carbonized bamboo veneer.”

The 2009 Wood Veneer Design Contest Grand Prize winner will receive $100 towards the purchase of veneer or edgebanding, and every entrant will receive $10 off a veneer purchase of $50 or more. In addition, the winner will be featured in a future press release from Oakwood Veneer. All of the top entrants will be featured on Oakwood’s website in the new and improved gallery section. Each set of pictures will have a link back to the entrant’s website, which can help them gain traffic.

“We tried to make entering as easy as possible,” said Rodgers. “Simply email the pictures or use real mail. Don’t forget to include your name and your website, though.”

Entrants are instructed to choose between one and five of the best pictures of their project(s).
