Sunderdeep Engineering College Student`s Industrial Visit

Nov. 16, 2009 - PRLog -- Sunderdeep Engineering college’s students had a visit to Gurang Products Private Limited India’s largest Steel Tube Company.
Students were taken on a industrial visit where they were briefed on how steel pipes are manufactured and transported into the market.
The students got an opportunity to interact with the engineers and technical staff and learnt about the work atmosphere and various functional
areas like manufacturing, quality control, supply chain, logistics and other major operations of the company.
Company`s officials were impressed by the initiative and inquisitive attitude of the students and provided a thorough sneak into core business areas.
“We have been taken by surprise by the kind of questions asked by the students this time. There seem to be a lot of development in engineering colleges in Ghaziabad,
especially Sunderdeep Engineering College” said one of the Supply Chain Sr. Managers.
“We hope to see them back sooner to suggest us something valuable” he added humorously.
The visit lasted couple of hours but the kind of influence it left upon the students is irreversible.
Immediately after this industrial visit, a short report preparation on this visit was conducted by the faculty to understand the benefits students got recently.
The result was humungous. Every student that visited the largest steel tube company as a student of engineering college came up with highly effective and impressive project report.

“We are very happy with the recent developments in Sunderdeep Engineering College, Ghaziabad, and hope to enhance our educational quality to even higher level” said Mr. Akhil Aggarwal, Member of Board of the Directors.
The last session of the visit was very interactive where the Sunderdeep students got an opportunity to have a discussion with the management like production officer, Supply Chain Manager, Logistics Support Manager and they all interacted with the students on the quality standards and customer confidence.
All steel products are manufactured under the most advanced technical guidelines and a solid quality measure is put in place to make ensure high customer retention and minimize the re-works. Great care is exercised in the selection & quality control of raw materials, packaging materials & rigid quality standards are ensured at every stage of the manufacturing process.
A complete knowledge about production industry made this industrial visit very knowledgeable experience for all the students of Sunderdeep Engineering College.
