The name of Shane J. Filomena is pretty well known compared to DTSales. So When we learned that Shane was addicted to Playing Dark Orbit, we decided to try to capitalize on it by asking him to create a ship with his name.
Of course he did not do this from the start : his original ship is "shanejf", on a premium account playing for Venus.
So he created an account for Mars with "shanejfilomena"
The reasoning is that these games are not simply played by young people, rather, they are played by youthful people.
Shane's name tends to come up in search results for keywords related to DTSales or
any of the dozens of website that he is a member of or administrates. This is called " Passive Advertising"
I asked Shane how it was going and he Glared at me :
Venus had shot down two of his ships and because he plays for Venus, he does not want to shoot at them.
I reminded him he is their enemy while playing for mars,
But then, watching his screen, I see Venus ships show up next to Mars ships and do not fire on them.
Shane points out that they are "Double Agents" also.
I asked if there are many players that choose sides or play for the opposition :
" there are many , and they will not fire on their own players. Regardless if they are under the enemy flag" Shane reports.
" However, your not playing with the same people all the time, you have to be careful in the name of your ship and who you uncloak next to. I will not Fire on Mars or Venus But Ill risk ALL my Uridium to go after an Earth Ship ."

( being as Shane created the account and within hours was at level seven and had purchased several ships,
not to mention he is addicted to this game and just enjoys playing it : he spends alot of time helping other players.):
* Most of what you want is on the left side of your map.
* Go for the Glowing Cubes, Collect your Ore and take out the automated enemies.
the highest concentrations of cubes is in the lower left part of the map:
Never found anything in the corners, so do not go that deep.
*the highest concentration of ore is running a diagonal from the lower left corner :
and runs to about the top middle.
*Always make the effort to run with others or help them in battle : If your username is easy to remember,
they will remember you and help you as well : this is most useful when your under attack or playing two accounts.
*With each Portal you go in, the automated enemies get harder to kill. You will want to try to enlist other players by helping them, sticking with their ship or talk to them on the chat.
( Shane has had no luck finding a person he is playing next to on chat: usually players are instant message contacts or in a "clan" where they message directly with their members)
