How many people have been waiting for a real competitor to rise up and compete with eBay? A company that would have low fees so no matter what your selling or buying you can save money. Well the wait is almost over with www.shoprink.com. ShopRink is a division of Transcendent Enterprises, LLC and is currently in development and set to launch in early 2010. ShopRink will offer no listing fees, no store fees, and ultra-low final value fees that are fixed. This means you will not get charged a percentage but rather a fixed rate for a successful sell. The final value fee schedule for ShopRink is as follows: anything under $50 will be charged 50 cents (yes 50 cents) anything over $50 but under $100 will be charged $1 and anything over $100 will be charged $2.
In addition to the ultra-low fees ShopRink is working on providing one of the most comprehensive buyer protection programs with a much higher limit than some other sites like Yahoo, eBay and Amazon.com. So the question is not why should you join www.shoprink.com but why wouldn't you?
ShopRink obviously knows this is a big hill to climb, but founder Shawn McConnon said the numbers make sense. "Basically, we know there is a huge market place out there for online shopping and auctions just look at eBay's web views and user volume. So the market is there and many of these members are not happy with the fees they are paying. Our goal is to improve eBay's product, mainly by lowering fees, and do the right thing for our members. If we do that then the users will come to our site."
www.shoprink.com will launch in January 2010.
