Following its successful launch in 2008 which honored Magic Johnson and Eva Longoria Parker Dall as Rocks 2009: Diamond Dinner and Pave After Party Proceeds will support the work of the Diamond Empowerment FundTM (D.E.F.), a non‐profit organization founded in 2007 to raise funds for programs that empower through education in African nations where diamonds are a natural resource. D.E.F.’s first beneficiary is CIDA City Campus located in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Diamond Empowerment Fund's mission is to raise money to support education initiatives that develop and empower economically disadvantaged people in African nations where diamonds are a natural resource.
The Simmons Jewelry Co.'s GREEN BRACELET is the symbol of our cause and has raised more than $650,000 for the fund to date.
