The winner for the 2009 Grand Raffle for the 1962 Corvette or $50,000 was: Bill Due of our own Independence, KY.
After much contemplation... BILL... TOOK THE CASH!!! So, we are going to have a second chance Christmas Day 2009 drawing for the Corvette (without a cash option).
Tickets will be limited to ONLY 1,000 tickets at $100 a piece. What a great gift a raffle ticket would be for Christmas this year!
Tickets are on sale up until Midnight, Christmas Eve 2009 (unless we are sold out)! They may be purchased by phone, right here on this website, and by mail. If you are purchasing by mail, please make your check payable to St. Cecilia and mail it to 5313 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. There is no limit to the number of tickets an individual can purchase (until we are sold out).
Regardless of the number of tickets sold, we will draw for the car on the festival stage here at St. Cecilia's after the 11:00 a.m. Mass on Christmas Day, December 25, 2009! This should occur at approximately 12:00 noon. The Christmas Day second chance event will also be broadcast on youtube after the drawing and posted on our website... similar to the Labor Day Raffle youtube posting.
Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket for the Labor Day Raffle! Every dollar (net of advertising and state raffle tax fee) will go directly to St. Cecilia School! 5,705 tickets were sold for the Big Raffle this year. We sincerely appreciate your support of our school..
Also, please check us out next year as our 2010 Big Raffle Car will be rolled out by Memorial Day of 2010. We will have a Classic Car show here at St. Cecilia's on Sunday, May 30th and roll out our 2010 Big Raffle Classic Car at the event!!! If you love classic cars like we do... why not make plans to join us? We will have plenty of food, beverages, trophies, and a GREAT band in concert from 5-11!!!
