Cast Your Anchor, North America’s only nautical hobby store specializing in the ship model hobby is celebrating it’s 7th year in business. From its humble beginnings, Cast Your Anchor has grown into a global supplier of ship model kits, fitting and specialized tools for the hobby enthusiast. . Built on unmatched customer service and years of building experience, Cast Your Anchor has focused on a niche of the hobby business that was not being addressed.
We understand the lure of wanting to build a model ship – steeped in history, the romance of sea travel, the art of creation and a family legacy. On the other hand the task can seem to be daunting. Cast Your Anchor has developed a method to step our builders through the process in a non-frustrating way. Due to their success, many of our beginner builders go on to become serial creators.
Throughout its history, Cast Your Anchor has launched many initiaves that include holding workshops for children and adults, support of local artesians, attending various regattas and trade shows and providing services such as appraisals, restoration, and film props.
Most recently, we moved to a new location. The new face of Cast Your Anchor allows us to better focus on servicing our customers. In addition to our offices, we have a showroom / stockroom open to the public and of course the usual dedicated and knowledgeable staff to answer all of your ship modeling questions.
Our mandate has been to make the hobby of ship modeling an enjoyable experience for all builders. We don’t’ just sell product, we are model builders as well. Because we have tried all the tools and kits we are able to make informed recommendations. We are also very happy to share are building techniques with you.
